Deburring Machine Solutions

Why do we need to deburr metal parts?

  • During metal machining processes, like cutting, milling, drilling, and stamping, burrs and  sharp edges are generated. Removing these burrs can improve the surface condition of the parts and ensure that the subsequent processes, like assembly, spraying, welding, can be carried out effectively.

  • Since 2000, ADV have been China's leading manufacturer of deburring machines.Through over 20 years of persistence and hard work in metal surface grinding technology and automatic deburring equipment, ADV have made high-quality, long-life, and safety our only indicator.

  • In addition to the mainstream abrasive belts deburring process on the market, ADV Deburring machine can use different configuration to achieve the desired effect based on the type of burrs

Types of Metal Finishing Equipment

  1. Robotic Deburring Systems: Programmable robotic arms with specialized tools

  2. Brush Deburring Units: Rotary brushes for contour-following edge finishing

  3. Abrasive Flow Machining: For complex internal geometries

Benefits Over Traditional Methods

  1. 45-60% reduction in processing time compared to manual deburring

  2. Ability to handle complex geometries impossible with fixed automation

  3. Quick changeover between parts with digital recipe management

  4. Continuous 24/7 operation with predictive maintenance alerts

  5. 30-50% reduction in consumable tooling costs through optimized pressure control

Deburring Machines at ADV Grinding

ADV Grinding understands the future of sheet metal manufacturing and metal processing. We develop, manufacture, and sell machines for deburring, deslagging, belt grinding, and edge rounding of metal. The modular design brings more possibilities for sheet metal deburring and finishing, in which stations work together and independently.

Deburring Stations

Available stations for deburring equipment

W Station

The deburring brush station can smoothly remove small burrs and round sharp edges. This is done by revolution and rotation.

Y Station

The disc brush station can remove heavy slag or edge rounding by changing the deslagging disc and the deburring disc of different grits.

S Station

The high-speed rotation of the sand block station can remove the sharp edges and burrs on the metal parts surface and the inner contour of the hole, obtaining a high-quality finished product.

R Station

The wide belt station mainly grinds evenly and polishes stainless steel and aluminum, and for removing vertical burrs, rust, and other surface defects.

r Station

The non-woven brush station is mainly used for fine treatment and quality finish of metal surfaces to achieve fine brushing and reduce the roughness Ra value.

H Station

The hammer pin station can effectively remove dross and heavy slag generated during processing by repeatedly knocking and rubbing the metal surface. It is typically used for plasma and flame-cut parts.

Hot Selling Deburring Machine Configuration

These deburring station combinations are only available in dry grinding

ADV 508-M300

With the M300 grinder you can easily deburr, grind, chamfer, deslag and/or polish metal parts manually

ADV 508-RW

Suitable for removing burrs from laser cutting, water cutting, and punching parts. Sand belts are used to remove larger burrs, while 4/6/8 abrasive deburring brushes remove soft burrs evenly through rotation, making the metal edges perfectly smooth and rounded.

ADV 508-RY

Suitable for precision stamping and machined parts, particularly suited for achieving consistent edge radii on fine grinding.

ADV 508-RS

The sand block abrasive rotates at a high speed to beat the surface of the workpiece, so that the contour edges around the workpiece surface and in the hole are smooth and rounded, resulting in rounded corners.

ADV 508-HR

The equipment is equipped with 2 sets of hammer pins structures. The hammer pin abrasive rotates at high speed to strike the workpiece surface, causing the slag and dross on the workpiece surface to fall off.

ADV 508-RWR

RWR series is a 3-in-1 model of ADV Grinding, with multi-functions such as deburring, edge rounding, finishing and laser oxide removal for different materials.

ADV 508-RYW

The stations include a grinding belt station, several vibrating disc brushes stations and finally the rotating brushes for a non-directional surface finish and perfect edge rounding

ADV 508-HRW

After heavy slag removal, flat products can be deburred and edge rounded quickly.

Dry or Wet Metal Finishing Machine

Different station combinations can be used for dry or wet grinding depending on the material and thickness. For wet grinding, clean-dry and lamination functions are supported.

ADV 508-R

Deburring, Burr removal, Grinding, Slag/Dross Removal

ADV 508-RR

Deburr, edge break, & line grain finishing of metal in one pass

ADV 508-Rr

Removal of vertical burrs and fine finishing from laser, die, and water-jet cut parts

ADV 508-RRr

Deburring, hairline, brushed finishing for large width flat sheets in large quantities

The best selling metal deburring series

Deburring, edge rounding, laser oxide removal and surface uniform random lines

The most comprehensive metal deburring series

What are some common ways to deburr?

Deburring is the process of removing burrs, which are small pieces of unnecessary material attached to the workpiece after processing. Here are some common deburring methods

Hand deburring

Use a tool with a blade designed to remove burrs. This method is suitable for deburring the edges of drill bits, slots and holes.

Vibration deburring

The abrasive medium is in full contact with the metal part. This method is suitable for removing burrs of a large number of irregular small parts.

Thermal deburring

This technology uses high-temperature gas or plasma arc to melt the burrs on the metal surface. It is mainly used for deburring the internal cross-holes of the workpiece and the surface treatment of complex workpieces

Mechanical deburring
CNC machine tools generally have milling cutters, rotary files, deburring brushes and other modules to choose from. Through simple programming, complex burrs can be easily removed. It is ideal methods when the burrs are too heavy or too strong to be removed
Robotic deburring
The robot grabs the workpiece and grinds it on the sanding belt. It is mainly used for deburring stainless steel, aluminum, copper sanitary ware and castings
Sheet metal deburring

It is a type of mechanical deburring, mainly used for batch deburring of cut sheet metal parts

Laser deburring
Uses a laser to easily remove burrs without contacting the material.
Water jet deburring

Uses a high-pressure water jet to remove burrs while cleaning the part.

Ultrasonic deburring

Place the part in a cleaning fluid and abrasive media to remove burrs with high-frequency vibration

Deburring

Each deburring technology has its advantages and disadvantages. We can choose the most correct process based on the material, shape, burr size, location and required surface treatment of the workpiece
